Fireplace tools and accessories are a necessity in order to keep a fire burning properly and to protect the surroundings of wherever the fire is burning. Some fireplace accessories are purely for aesthetic purposes, such as candelabras; however, most fireplace accessories are functional and frequently sold in sets.

Fireplace Screens and Glass Doors:-
Fireplace screens are placed in front of a fireplace to obstruct larger ashes from shooting out into the room or onto the hearth. While many working fireplaces have doors already built in or sliding screens, electric or non-functioning fireplaces use fireplace screens as a visual addition, rather than a functional one. Fireplace screens are usually tri-fold stands and may have detailed designs or made from glass. Fireplace glass doors can be stained glass or plain.
Fireplace Tools:-
Fireplace accessories come in a set usually with a stand or comparable system. Even though many sets are for decorative purposes, they serve a practical purpose as well. The shovel is for holding the ashes from the fireplace grate while the broom is used for sweeping the ashes into the shovel. Pokers permits are for rearranging the burning wood to change the intensity of the fire.

Andirons
Andirons are another fireplace tool that is used to stop burning logs from rolling out of the fireplace. Some andirons are purchased only for aesthetic purposes as well.
Firebacks
Firebacks increases the heat output and efficiency of a wood burning fireplace. They are usually made from iron and stands at the rear of the fireplace. The fireback shields the fire-brick from damage and emits heat from the fire into the room.
